Navigating the Paranormal Community can be challenging, especially for those who are deaf in a field where sound plays a crucial role. However, the two remarkable individuals I am about to introduce have triumphed over their disability, creating spaces for themselves and the deaf community.

Albert Roberts was born and raised in Oklahoma; his journey has been anything but ordinary. Adopted into a loving and supportive family, he navigated a challenging childhood with grit, independence, and a deep-rooted resilience that would shape the rest of his life. Though his biological parents—and much of his extended family—are deaf, communication was never a barrier to connection or purpose. In fact, it became a cornerstone of who he is today: a determined leader and a proud advocate for the deaf community within the paranormal world.

Albert’s early adult years were filled with hard work and reinvention. He ran his own successful contracting business until health challenges forced him to take a different path. Never one to stay idle, he enrolled at Arizona State University, studying ROTC Army, graphic design, and professional photography. It was there that an unexpected interest began to grow. What started as casual courses in the paranormal quickly sparked something deeper. His professors recognized his intuitive skills and encouraged him to explore the field more seriously. That nudge would change everything.

After moving from Arizona to Tennessee, then Pennsylvania, and ultimately back to Oklahoma, Albert followed his intuition and spiritual pull, launching a business that has now spanned nearly seven years. Along the way, not every endeavor succeeded. He experienced the rise and fall of three separate paranormal teams. But through those lessons came clarity, and the birth of something entirely his own: Fear Dark Paranormal (FDP).

As the Founder and Owner of FDP, Albert brings a unique and much-needed voice to the field, especially as a deaf investigator who believes in leveling the playing field. “Some hearing people think deaf individuals can’t investigate the paranormal,” he says. “But that’s simply not true. We experience spirits through vision, sensation, scent, and even through a kind of mental communication. Our equipment is specialized, and so are our instincts.”

Albert doesn’t just believe in equality—he embodies it. He drives, works, owns his home, and leads with confidence. His girlfriend, also deaf and highly skilled, is part of his journey. Together, they challenge outdated stereotypes and prove that the paranormal is a space for everyone.

With every investigation, Albert feels a deeper sense of connection—not just to the other side, but to the father he knows is watching over him from the spirit realm. “He knows I’m honest,” Albert shares. “And I know the spirits recognize how strongly I can communicate with them.”

Albert’s mission is clear: to help others, give voice to the unseen, and break down the barriers between worlds—both physical and spiritual.
