Carolina's Unknown

I have been a Paramedic in Eastern Carolina for over 34 years and have loved the job I do. I have seen a lot of spooky and horrible thing in those years. I have even encountered some things that I cannot explain. Paranormal things from people talking to deceased love ones at their bedside while they are getting ready to pass to ghostly figures at scenes of a fatal accident. Here are a few of the stories.

*One evening my ambulance was dispatched to a cardiac arrest with CPR in progress. We arrived on scene to find the fire department first responders doing CPR on a 58-year-old male. The patient had a heart attack and he stop breathing and heart had stopped.  EMS took over CPR and I kneeled on the floor to intubate the patient {placing an airway tube in to the patient’s trachea so that you can breathe for him}. While I was on the floor, I looked up and saw a person standing in the corner of the room that looked a lot like the patient. He was there just watching us do CPR. I ask one of the firefighters if he would ask the person in the corner of the room to step out while we were working on the patient. The firefighter looked at me as if I was crazy because he did not see anyone else in the room.  About that time the patient started to have a pulse again and we rushed him to the hospital where he had a cardiac catheterization done. He stayed in the hospital for 3 weeks and then was able to go home with no complications. I visited with him after he was released from the hospital to see how he was doing. During our visit he told me that he had an out of body experience and he could remember just watching us do CPR on his body and watching me intubating him. He could even tell me what he heard us say during that time.  Did I see his out of body spirit watching us?

*It was a rainy Saturday afternoon when my ambulance was dispatched to the scene of a MVA {a car v/s a semitruck with conformed entrapment}. We arrive to find a horrific site of mangle metal. The female that was driving the car was DOA {dead on arrive} was still penned in the car and her boyfriend was lying on the outside of the car bloody but alive and awake.  We treated him for his injuries and place him in the ambulance to rush him to the trauma center. While we were in back of the ambulance getting him ready for the transport, he kept asking about his girlfriend. We did not want to tell him that she passed away, so, we just said that another ambulance crew was treating her.  The patient then said, “NO they not, she is standing at the back of the ambulance”.  During this time the deceased female was still being extricated from the car. Did he see his girlfriend ghost standing at the back of the ambulance or was he just seeing things because of his injuries?

*This last story is from a EMT/law enforcement friend from Brunswick County NC.  It was during a late dark and stormy night when he was called to the scene of a MVC – car hitting tree. When he arrived to find a single car accident, where the car was traveling to fast for the weather and hydroplaned and hit a tree. The only person in the car was a female and she was deceased from the accident. The area that the accident happened was in middle of nowhere, no houses around and side roads, only woods and swamps. A few weeks later on another late dark stormy night, my friend was driving down the same road and he saw a you lady walking in the rain in the same area that the accident happened.  Being so late and raining, my friend turned his patrol car around to help the young lady.  As he approached the area he saw the lady walking, there was nothing. He could could not find the lady he saw walking. Again, there were no houses or side roads that she may of went, and no other vehicles were seen on the road. Since the fatal accident many people has reported seeing a young female walking the road during rainy nights and then just vanishing. Is the ghost of the female from the fatal accident?
