My Paranormal Experience is a TV series created and hosted by paranormal investigator & filmmaker Nathan Withers along with his crew Beth Huffman, Scottie Dabbs, and Kara Kidd, showcasing groundbreaking stories/experiences from people all over the globe.

Speaking with Nathan for nearly an hour, you get the sense of a young man eager to prove himself. With money and time invested, what they are looking for is a chance. Taking the unconventional route for distribution, Nathan had a decision to make, and patience was key. Interest in the paranormal isn’t new to him, and taking criticism early on helped forge him into a more well-rounded and mature filmmaker/investigator.
Nathan is a self-taught filmmaker who has developed a product that goes more in-depth with people’s experiences and goes further into the investigations to validate those experiences.
After a short hiatus and rebranding, Nathan and the crew are back with a more cinematic/documentary feel. “all of the evidence we’ve collected tells a story, and all connect.”
“I truly believe, from the bottom of my heart, that one day, the style of filmmaking will become a genre of its own,” Nathan says. “I’m all about earning my stripes; we don’t deserve anything. Any opportunity we are given or invited to do would be incredible”.
Nathan is in this because he enjoys the purity of the paranormal field; taking direction from community mentors while pursuing his filmmaking style makes the final product more unique. Nathan grew up learning to earn what he has and embraces that within his career. “No one can take that away if you’ve earned it,” Nathan recalls his father saying.
The passion for his craft was very noticeable during our interview, and at times, his love can be mistaken for arrogance, but that can be further from the truth. Nathan fully recognizes how much he and his craft have evolved, saying, “Why didn’t someone stop me from putting that out?” referring to some of his past projects.
Nathan’s Team consists of:
Beth – executive producer/booking manager: i have always had an interest in people of the past. From a young age i wanted to be a archeologist. Museums with clothing and personal items like brushes and eye glasses make me wonder about the person these objects belonged to and who they were. What was their story.
My first paranormal experience happened when i was 11 and then again at 13 years old. My interest increased from there. With quite a few investigations underneath my belt. I started investigating off and on between 1998-2008. First with just friends. I joined the paranormal world with a team in 2012. By joining this team i met nathan withers. After a few years i really wanted to broaden my scope on the different ideas & experiments that can coincide with a story. Along with research and the investigation. After years of investigating together and sharing our ideas and experiences nathan let me know he had an amazing idea. He wanted to share others experiences and stories. Those who have encountered the paranormal deserve a place to feel heard he wanted to give them that opportunity. I thought it was a great idea. That’s one of the main reasons i had continued my journey in the paranormal over the years. I hoped to make people feel they weren’t crazy and that i was there to hear their story and hopefully get answers and help them. I asked nathan to work on his project with him. In 2019 my paranormal experience began, we have met our goals that we had in mind from the beginning. Moving forward i’d love to see my paranormal experience keep our original goal of sharing others stories but take them more in depth. By filming and putting the stories together in a way to bring our audience into the film. Composing each story so that they can feel the emotions of each story and also have a moving experience for themselves.
Kara Kidd – Executive
Producer /Lead Researcher: Over the years I have experienced things that seemed impossible, as I grew as an investigator in 2003 I found a passion in uncovering historical yet bizarre stories on places that seem to be charged with the most unique hauntings. In 2020 I joined the TV show My Paranormal Experience as a camera operator, and now the lead researcher for the locations we now showcase. Since joining the series we have helped and inspired so many across the globe while giving them an outlet to tell their stories. I’m proud to be a part of this crew and I hope someday it becomes its own phenomenon.
Scottie Dabbs: I’ve been trying to convince the world of paranormal activity since 2019 after having my own very close counter with them as a teenager. I’m currently an investigator and gear tech for My Paranormal Experience and looking to grow the channel into your next favorite Television series. Along side the crew, we all hope to bring you irrefutable proof of the paranormal realm.
