Elton Castee

In the ever-expanding realm of YouTube personalities, few individuals captivate audiences quite like Elton Castee.  With a penchant for adventure, a magnetic personality, and a knack for storytelling, Castee has carved out a niche for himself in the online world as a daring explorer, filmmaker, and entertainer.  From his humble beginnings to his rise to fame, let’s delve into the captivating world of Elton Castee.

In 2017, Elton Castee co-founded the YouTube channel “TFIL” (The Fuck It List).  TFIL quickly gained traction for its thrilling vlogs documenting the duo’s adventures, ranging from exploring abandoned buildings to embarking on extreme challenges.  Castee’s fearlessness and infectious enthusiasm endeared him to viewers, while his comedic timing added an extra layer of entertainment to the videos.  Elton expands, “Up on that list is like a huge variety of things, like everything you could imagine.  Like doing stand-up for a sold-out theatre, high-fiving Brad Pitt, visiting some of the wonders of the world, spending the night at Alcatraz, or going into the Paris Catacombs, so there’s always been an eclectic mix of different things that we wanted to do, and on that channel, we did Waverly Hills, we did the Catacombs, we did Alcatraz.”

When COVID hit in 2020, Elton started a “25 weeks of Haunted” series.  Elton explains, “I called it 25 weeks initially because that’s how long I thought the COVID restrictions were gonna last.”  Laughing, he continued, “You know we’ll do 25 weeks; that’ll take us to the end of the year.  We’ll see how it goes, and that’s how I met Linda the Ghost Hunter and Patti Negri, ‘cause if we’re gonna do this, let me reach out to experts who have been doing this for decades.”  Relying on experts everywhere they went, Elton and his crew tried their best to investigate the locations they went to accurately.

When asked if he is a skeptic or a believer, Elton responded, “I intentionally choose to stay on the skeptical side of things.  I think a huge part of that is a conscientious choice for our videos, because anyone who I ever filmed with is 100% a believer.  I think if you have an entire squad where everyone believes everything is paranormal, you’ll never actually figure out what is or isn’t.  To me, it’s more fun to go into it with a mentality that it’s not real, but I want it to be.  I’m just agnostic across everything; to me, it’s not, it’s real, or it’s not real.  I’m doing this cause I would love to capture something and make everyone in the world watch it and go ‘holy shit dude, cool’!”

During his paranormal tenure, Elton explains the difference between Alarmed and Scared.  “I don’t think I’ve ever been scared; I’ve definitely been alarmed.  Scared to me is I actually think something horrible is going to happen, like I’m afraid of, like, danger.  But, I’ve been alarmed where I’m like, Holy Shit, what was that?!  You know, self-defense mode; let’s figure this out.  I naturally go into that alarmed mentality as opposed to I’m gonna die here mentality.  I’ve never felt the need to leave somewhere unless I physically got so sick that I was gonna pass out.”

One location that sticks out in Elton’s mind as a place he can return to numerous times and never get bored is the Warren Occult Museum.  “I think I spent like 116 hours in there total.  I can learn a lot from all those guys.  When this video drops, we’re probably going to make the Shadow doll more famous than Annabelle.  The shadow doll shut down the entire stream, and not only that, it broke cameras and disabled within a 5-mile radius of the house.  So that’s the one where I couldn’t genuinely or rationally explain it.  It was a sequential thing that kept happening; every time we would talk about the shadow doll, one next thing would happen, then the next, and the next.  The video is currently 9 hours long, and I think it needs to be longer.   We don’t want to miss anything and have it take away from what happened ‘cause there was a build-up to that.”

What sets Elton Castee apart is his insatiable thirst for adventure.  Whether he’s skydiving out of airplanes, bungee jumping off bridges, or diving into abandoned pools, Castee’s willingness to push the boundaries of what’s possible has earned him a dedicated following of adrenaline junkies and thrill-seekers.

While YouTube remains Elton Castee’s primary platform, he has expanded his presence across various social media channels.  From Instagram to TikTok, Castee continues to engage with fans through behind-the-scenes glimpses, captivating photos, and short-form videos that showcase his larger-than-life personality.
