Sophia Temperilli

With the rise in popularity of podcasts, few have had the staying power of the one person I’m about to introduce you to. She is Sophia Temperilli, better known among the most prestigious names in the paranormal as “The Ghost Host.” Sophia began her highly successful career at the age of 12 on LiveParanormal.com, making her one of the youngest in the business.  Sophia has welcomed a range of famous guests to her show (including myself four times): Patti Negri, Cindy Kaza, Shane Pittman, Dave Schrader, Dustin Pari, and Alexandra Holzer.

So, how did this 25-year-old become fascinated with the other side?  Well, she grew up in a haunted house, of course, where she encountered many spirits.  As a very young child, Sophia was absolutely terrified of the laundry room in her family’s home. According to her mother, Shirley, “Metal objects would be thrown at me whenever I entered that room.” Additionally, Sophia would see a man in the laundry room, although no one else could see him. This caused great distress for Sophia and her family as they tried to understand and address her fears.

After many happenstances in her home, she quickly became fascinated with the paranormal, and at the age of 8 years old, where she attended her first ghost tours of the infamous Queen Mary led by the internationally known psychic medium Peter James.  With the support of her parents, Shirley, and Gian Temperelli.   You can say this became a family paranormal affair.  Her parents are no strangers to the paranormal.  Sophia’s dad Gian was good friends with the internationally renowned psychic Peter James, who co-authored a book with James titled “Heaven Can You Hear Me?” Her mother, Shirley, was close friends with the late Debby Constantino, a well-known expert in EVPs (electronic voice phenomenon) who frequently appeared on the TV show Ghost Adventures.

In 2014, at the age of 15, Sophia made a guest appearance on Travel Channel’s number-one hit series, Ghost Adventures. From there, the family became fast friends with Aaron Goodwin’s (Ghost Adventures) sister Amy Goodwin.  Goodwin and Constantino frequently stayed as guests at the Temperilli home.

Thirteen years in the making, at the age of 25, Sophia Temperilli’s show “The Ghost Host” continues to captivate audiences. She is now planning to travel and make in-person appearances across the United States. Recently, Sophia was featured in a new book celebrating “Women in History Month” titled “Women on the Fringe,” further solidifying her impact and influence amongst the other groundbreaking women in the paranormal.  Sophia’s podcast can be heard on LiveParanormal.com, iHeart Radio, iTunes & blog talk radio.  For more information on Sophia, you can follow her on Facebook at Sophia Temperilli The Ghost Host and LiveParanormal.com
