War Party Paranormal
You rarely get a chance to speak to people who have somehow changed the way we look at investigating the paranormal. Most teams, not all, have their vision of what investigating is, and they build upon those principles and techniques, which is fine and absolutely normal. Then, you meet a team that is so symbiotic together that they challenge each other to become great in their own rights and push the boundaries of the everyday investigator. That is War Party Paranormal.
The Paranormal Research Team from South Florida, founded in 2015, is a large team comprised of over 30 members.
Mike Delcoro, the case manager and Tech Specialist, and Eric Vanderlaan, the Team Leader for the South team, are dedicated to their roles. Joe Turino, the Team Leader for the North Team, is equally committed. Together, they lead War Party Paranormal, a team that conducts private residential cases and events with unwavering dedication.
War Party Paranormal is a nonprofit that focuses on educating the community and the historic restoration of the locations they cover. Their Team is an eclectic group comprised of investigators, historians, psychic mediums, pastors, wiccan, and psychologists, each bringing their unique expertise to the table, as Mike proudly added.
Joe adds, “Having a historian on the team is a great asset. Not only can they gather information that isn’t available to the general public, but they can also cross-reference and verify details if needed.”
War Party conducts residential and Private Events and produces a show on Paraflixx, The Haunted Files. The Haunted Files is an outlet for War Party leaders Mike and Eric, along with team members, to document some of the claims and experiences others have had at certain locations.
Eric Mentions, “We have a lot going on, not only The Haunted Files but also a live radio show we do every Monday night, which we have been doing for three years through KGRA Digital Broadcasting Network. KGRA is a rather large paranormal network showcasing many disciplines, such as cryptids and UFOs. I joined War Party 7 or 8 years ago when we didn’t even do events, and now we have 4 locations where we do steady events. We are pretty booked out. So yeah, Mike and I produce a show on Paraflixx, and we have the radio show and our events.”
The Haunted Files was born from the idea of sharing captured evidence. Like many investigators, they began uploading videos and clips on YouTube. “Eric, one day, went to a Paracon and met Patti Negri and Natalie Jones, and they hit it off. He also brought a pair of my Delco Goggles™ and had them try them there, and everyone was going bananas. Patti was raving about them, and the rest was history.”
Mike Delcoro is the inventor of the Delco Goggles™, an exciting piece of investigation tech. The use of the Delco Goggles™ combines the technology of the Gansfeld Experiment and the Estes Method.
Eric says, “We were working on a series that we would share with the networks; I shared this with Natalie when I was at Virginia City, and that is how that all started.”
“I think what separates us from many other shows is that we try to keep it 100% honest but entertaining simultaneously. It doesn’t all have to be jumping out of the window and running around screaming; every noise is something. We go out and investigate, have fun, and are serious at the same time. Anyone can go on YouTube and watch someone freak out and run around screaming ‘Demon.’ But it’s refreshing for some people to watch our content. We have a lot of fans that are other investigators, which is not necessarily normal, but kinda adds credibility because they respect it, and they respect what we are doing.” Mike adds.
“It’s genuine,” Joe chimes in. “What you see is the real deal. We don’t do multiple takes. If we capture it, we capture it. If we don’t, we’ll talk about it but won’t focus on it. This is Mike and Eric’s project, and I’m fortunate to have come on a few of the investigations with them, and it’s been great.”
The Haunted Files pushes the boundaries of what is possible or even considered normal within the paranormal. Combining that with the Delco Experiment makes it challenging to imagine how much further they can push. BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE! Speaking with Mike Delcoro, he is now introducing Trans Cranial Direct Current Stimulation. It sounds scarier than it is, and during our discussion, Mike reassured me that this is not a new technology and that people use it when they’re learning things as a tool to help unlock the brain.
I don’t know about you, but I seriously cannot wait to try this with my set of Delco Goggles™, although I will admit I am hesitant to affix diodes to my head to zap me while I’m trying to communicate with the spirits.
